Square Enix to Distribute Dead Island to the Americas

Today, Deep Silver and Square Enix announced that they will be collaborating to distribute Dead Island to the West. Square Enix’s strong arm in marketing and distribution makes this a good move and will ensure the game will sell well. Hopefully this will mean there will be more mainstream attention for the game so it can sell well and continually be looked after by the developers after release.

Deep Silver and Square Enix Team Up for Dead Island™ Distribution in North and South America

LARKSPUR, CA – May 3, 2011 – Deep Silver and Square Enix, Inc. announced today a collaboration in which Square Enix will be the Americas region distributor for Dead Island™, the highly anticipated zombie action game with role-playing elements for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft®, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Windows-based PCs.
“Square Enix’s impressive distribution and marketing capabilities, combined with their proven success with launching top-notch AAA titles, makes them the absolute best partner for Dead Island,” said Deep Silver Chief Operating Officer Geoff Mulligan. “We’re thrilled to be partnering with their dedicated and talented team and look forward to collaborating with them in order to bring Dead Island to gamers.”
Developed by Techland, Dead Island combines first-person action with a heavy focus on melee combat, character development and customization of a vast array of weapons. The engaging survival-focused gameplay aspects are combined with a rich and immersive storyline in which a small group of people find themselves in a tropical paradise turned into total chaos and carnage after a mysterious zombie outbreak. Cut off from the rest of the world, the player’s only chance to survive is to fight to the death and find a way to escape from the island.
With firearms and ammunition being scarce, the player must utilize day-to-day items as weapons for self-defense to fight off zombie hordes in intense, gruesome melee combat. Featuring four customizable, unique character classes and engrossing role-playing elements combined with an intense four player co-op experience, Dead Island stands out as one of the most comprehensive zombie experiences to date.
“Dead Island is a truly extraordinary title and we couldn’t be more excited about leveraging our unified Square Enix resources in bringing it to audiences in the Americas.” said Mike Fischer, president and chief executive officer, Square Enix, Inc.
Dead Island will be released for Xbox 360, the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Windows PC later this year.

The Digital Delivery (DD) project is still not quite ready. Although we expected to launch Stage 1 of this project by the end of last week, or even today at the latest, there have been a few unexpected issues that have delayed the launch. Our programmers are currently working as quickly as possible to resolve these last few issues.
We expect to launch Stage 1 of the Digital Delivery project within a few days. We sincerely apologize for the delay.
Thanks for participating as we work to take VirtaPay to the next level.

The total cap was originally 15 but I was given a surprise when it actually began to go over. I hope the community enjoys this pack for what it is. This is the last of the UEMPs.

This compilation of extremely awesome jumpstream files has taken 8 months to create. The end result has 2 hours 35 minutes and 57 seconds of playable music, 42 files overall (Don't you know 42 is the answer to life, downloading this pack will complete you), and is the best pack I have ever released to date! Not only is it a fucking incredible pack it's challenging! No really, playing this pack will break all your fingers and kill you. If you still eat your grandmas cookies and MAsturbate all day, then get ready to be raped by this pack! You thought all this time went into making some silly nilly sub 1000 arrow per file MA pack, you were wrong! The average ammount of arrows is 1000 per second (not per minute you fucking pussy), stick that in your moms dead lobster. That's practically equivilant to having the ability to teleport, YOU DO WANT TO TELEPORT RIGHT!(shit fuck) If you download this pack and play every file, your fingers will be made of diamonds by the end of the day, bitches love diamonds, all the ladies will fucking go for you!! How much is your life worth? Shit compared to how awesome you'll be just for having this pack in your songs folder. WTF are you doing reading this it's a waste of time, download the fucking pack already mother fucker!

May all the internets be with you.
